MYTHOS — ΜΥΘΟΙ — is a fine art photography series based on characters and tales from Greek mythology.
Using experimental long exposure and light-mixing techniques along with advanced digital compositing, MYTHOS aims to explore Greek myths in a way that mixes the organic with the manufactured.
This mimics the journey of cultural mythos throughout the advancement of time, and through the shifts in technology birthing new interpretations to classic tales.
Circe — daughter of the Sun, mother of pharmakeia, the first witch
Klotho — one of the three Moirai, spinner of the thread of fate
Nyx — night incarnate, daughter of Khaos
A chthonic being, she birthed Death, Sleep, and Dreams, among others.
Hekate — witch, moon goddess, keeper of the keys, and friend to the dead
Often depicted with three faces, Hekate held some sway with Fate itself.
Philotes — friendship and love incarnate
Unlike her siblings, she was perhaps the kindest child of Nyx.
Endymion — Immortal and wakeless husband of the Moon.
So taken with the mortal shepherd, Selene begged Zeus to wed them.
